When & where is this Quiz going to take place?
Saturday, the 15th of October, 2011 between 0800 and 1845 Hrs at Savera Hotel, Sandesh Hall, Chennai, India. 0800 Hrs registration for FCQ participants, 0900 - 1000 Hrs Prelims, 0930 Hrs Plenary & Symposium Registration Opens, 1020 -1250 Plenary session on Regenerative Medicine, 1400-1600 Hrs Quiz Final rounds, 1615 - 1745 Hrs Symposium on Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine, 1745-1845 Hrs Anniversary function & prize distribution.
Who all can participate in the Quiz?
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Dentistry and Medicine enrolled in Government and Private Institutes all over India are eligible to participate. Any number of teams (comprising of 2 members per team) can participate in the Prelims from each Institute. Among the teams, the first two teams who are top scorers in the prelims from that Institute are only eligible to participate in the finals. The finalists of last year (2006 to 2009) quiz cannot participate, however their institute can be represented by other students.
How to participate in the quiz competition?
1. Fill in the Registration Form Online, following which you will get a Temporary Enrollment Number
2. Download the Letter of Recommendation, affix your photograph, sign, fill it, get it signed by the Head of your Institution
3. Get a Demand Draft in favour of "Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine" payable at Chennai for Rs. 500/- (per team of 2 members) for the Registration fee and send it along with the Letter of Recommendation to: "Fujio" Cup Quiz by NCRM" PB 2278, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600 026 (in case of postal despatch) or by Courier / Registered Post to "Fujio Cup Quiz by NCRM" Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine, C-16, Vijaya Health Centre premises, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600 026; Tel: 044-42321322. Upon receiving the Demand Draft you will get a registration number by email and your team number will appear on the confirmed participant list Online (updated regularly). Mention the Temporary Enrollment Number in the letter along with the Demand Draft.
4. Fujio Cup Quiz Registration Deadline: Extended upto 2nd Sep 2011
What will the winners of the FCQ get?
1. The WINNING team of quiz will get a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-
2. The institute to which the winning team of quiz belongs to will be awarded with the Prestigious "Fujio Cup" (Rolling Trophy) which will be with them at their Institution for one year and be surrendered back before the next year's quiz.
3. The 1st Runner-Up team will get Rs. 10000/- cash prize.
4. Finalists will get certificates distributed at the Anniversary Ceremony (1745-1845 Hrs)
5. All participants will get a Certificate, which can be collected at the end of the function.

Basics and essentials of (i) History and development of stem cells / Regenerative Medicine, (ii) Cell Biology, (iii) Molecular Biology, (iv) Stem Cells pre-clinical and clinical applications / Cell therapeutics, (v) Immunology, (vi) Cancer biology, (vii) Developmental biology, (viii) Ethics, (ix) Nanotechnology, (x) Genetics, (xi) Space Age Cell Culture & (xii) International year of chemistry (A Special Subject added this year)
Who all can participate in the Poster Session?
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Dentistry and Medicine enrolled in Government and Private Institutes all over India, Stem Cell Scientists, Research Scholars and Clinicians can participate.
Those who have registered either in Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session & Symposium are only eligible to participate in the Poster Session.

Who all can participate in the Plenary Session & Symposium?
Students, Faculty, Scientists working in the field of Life Sciences, Medicine, Veterinary and Dental Sciences, Physicians of all Specialities and all those interested in this Evolving Science of Regenerative Medicine including members of the Public
How to participate as a Delegate to attend the Plenary Session, Symposium & be a Spectator for the Final Rounds of the Quiz?
1.The Registration will open on the 1st of July and will close on the 23rd of September 2011.
2. Follow the instructions therein and register Online.
Those who have already completed the Registration formalities before 15th of September, can send their DD on or before 25th of September upto 5.00pm. Those whose Registration is incomplete and Registration Fees not received can come straight to the venue and register themselves on the Spot. The spot registration fee will be Rs. 600/- per person.

What Else?
1. During the quiz programme, Lunch and Tea will be provided to all registered participants. Accompanying person can get lunch coupon by paying Rs. 300/- per head. Only one accompanying person per team.
2. Transport, Accommodation and Local Conveyance should be borne by the participants
Important Note:
1. If more than two teams per institute apply, depending upon the space constraints, earlier two teams will be accepted and remaining teams may not be accepted. Therefore getting a temporary enrollment number doesn't ensure a participation.2. The redundant teams will get their reimbursement in the form of an A/C payee cheque only .
3. There is no refund of fee in case of cancellation of participation by the participants/
4. The registration for Fujio Cup Quiz and Poster Session may be closed earlier if more than the acceptable number of teams / participants enroll. In such case the early teams (who complete all the formalities) will be given priority.
For this competition we are allowing ONLY teams who produce a Bonafide Certificate from their respective institutes. For organizations which are not educational institutes at this time we are NOT entertaining for participation as it may lead to confusion as there will be so many such organizations which may like to send representations. We accept only students of the same institute as members in a team; mixing of students from two different institutes in a team is NOT allowed.
5. If you have registered for the Quiz only, you are free to attend the plenary session and symposium. But cetificates will be issued ONLY for the participation in the quiz. If you want a certificate of participation to be issued for attending the Plenary session and Symposium separately, an additional registration fee will have to be paid.
6. Certificates will be issued only in person after the Validictory Function.
7. Registration may be closed prior to the deadline if the number of registration exceeds the seats available
