INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE POSTER SESSION OF NCRM NICHE 2017

 

1. Registration of the poster's presenting author in either Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session & Symposium is mandatory for participation in Poster Presentation.

2. Abstract Submission Guidelines:

a. Under Graduate, Post Graduate Students of Life Sciences, Biology, Medicine, Biotechnology, StemCell Scientists, Research Scholars & Clinicians can participate.

b. The presenting author should register either for the Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session & Symposium and should have obtained the temporary enrolment number. One presenting author is eligible to present one poster only.

c. The theme for NCRM NICHE 2017 Poster Presentation Session is "Regenerative Medicine".

d. The poster can be based on Original Research or it can be a Review on the theme given.

e. For 'Original Research' posters, the body of the abstract must be structured as Background, Materials & Methods, Results and Conclusion. For 'Review posters', the body of the abstract must be structured as Background, Significance, Discussion and Conclusion.

f. The abstract body should not exceed 3000 characters. Please do not include references, acknowledgements, graphics, tables or figures in your abstract body. Please use only standard abbreviations.

g. Abstracts for the poster session of NCRM NICHE 2017 are due by August 30, 2017.

h. Abstracts once submitted cannot be modified.

i. Abstracts submitted/posters presented elsewhere should not be submitted for participation.

j. You will get an automated reply on submission of your abstract online. If your abstract is approved by the initial scrutiny committee, you will be notified by 5th September via email.

3. If you have already registered either for Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session and have received your Temporary Enrollment Number, click here to submit your abstract.

4. It is mandatory for the presenting author of the selected abstracts to report in person to the registration desk at the venue on 10th October 2015 between 0900 hrs to 1000 hrs, to present the poster and become eligible to receive the certificate of participation. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to fix the poster in the designated area before 1000 hrs on the day of the event. The presenting author should be present to explain about the poster to the jury during the viewing session (1000 hrs to 1040 hrs). The certificate for poster presentation will be given only to the presenting author. In case the co-authors need a certificate for the poster presentation, they should have registered themselves either for the Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session and also in addition pay a poster registration fee separately, the details of which will be given during the acceptance notification of the poster abstract if the poster is selected.

The certificates will be given only after the Anniversary function in the evening on 10th October 2015. If you don't receive your certificates in person, your certificates will remain cancelled and will not be given thereafter under any circumstances.

5. If your abstract is not accepted by the the initial scrutiny committee, no refund of the registration fees for the Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session and symposium will be provided.

6. On approval of your abstract you need to pay the Poster Presentation Fee of Rs. 250 per poster on or before 12th September 2015. The fee payment related details will be sent sent along with the notification of acceptance email). The selected posters presenters will have to send (instructions will be given after the first circular is ready) the Conflict of Interest, Copyright Form and Undertaking form, the details of which will be sent along with the notification of acceptance email.

7. The fee for Poster presentation of the selected abstracts once paid will not be refunded. Also failure in receipt of the Conflict of Interest, Copyright Transfer form and Undertaking form by 12th September, 2015 will result in cancellation of your poster and the submitted abstract. 

8. Instructions for preparation of the poster:

a. Any form of plagiarism* and copyright violation is strictly prohibited.

b. Images from published articles or from the internet must be reproduced only with the written permission of the original author/copyright holder.

c. Privacy of patients or subjects used in your study must be strictly protected.

d. The Name of the Institutes of affiliation can be quoted below the title of the poster and names of Authors.  The Logo of the Institute of affiliation of the presenting author can be placed on the right upper corner of the poster. However there should not be any Logo/Pictures of Institutes, companies, products or authors elsewhere in the poster. Any form of surrogate advertisement in the poster will lead to disqualification.

e. For 'Original Poster', your poster must contain Background, Materials & Methods, Results, Conclusion, Figures and Graphs (if applicable). For 'Review Posters', your poster must contain Background, Significance, Discussion, Conclusion, Figures and Graphs (if applicable) 

g. Poster size:44inch height and 22 inch width

*Plagiarism, is defined in dictionaries as "the wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions, and the representation of them as one's own original work (Random House Compact Unabridged Dictionary and the Oxford English dictionary)

9. Instruction for Poster to be displayed during the event:

a. On 10th October, 2015 the registration for poster session will be open between 0900 hrs and 1000 hrs. The posters should be fixed in the allotted space between 0900-1000 hrs. Push pins will be available at the venue.

b. The displayed poster will be available for viewing from 1000 hrs to 1040 hrs during which the jury will view the poster and provide their comments. The presenting author should be present to explain about the poster to the jury during the viewing session. The poster should be dismantled before 1500 hrs.  Posters which are not removed by 1500 hrs will be discarded.

10. The abstract submission for poster session may be closed prior to the deadline if the number of registrations exceeds the space available


The best poster in the original category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-

The best poster in the Review category will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-

11. The decision of the jury is final. Only the Presenting Author is eligbile to receive the prize.

12. The Anniversary Organizing Committee of NCRM NICHE 2015 will have the sole authority and be the final arbiter on all decisions relating to the organisation of the Event, the rules of the Event, the timings and the placings.
