POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DETAILS

Stepwise Formalities for Poster abstract submission

1. Abstracts for the NCRM NICHE 2011 are due by August 29, 2011.

2. Register Online and submit your abstract for the poster presentation

3. Registration in either Fujio Cup Quiz or Plenary Session & Symposium is mandatory for participation in Poster Presentation. There is no separate fee for Poster Presentation.

4. Prepare the abstract with the following instruction

  1. Your abstract must contain Background, Materials&methods, Results, Conclusion
  2. Not to exceed 3000 characters, including punctuation and excluding the title
  3. Submitted work can be Original / Review of a topic
  4. (iv) The abstract content should fall under one of the topics: Basic research, Translational work and Clinical studies in Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
  5. List any co-authors involved and their institutions
  6. Authors may submit more than one abstract
  7. Under Graduate, Post Graduate Students of Life Sciences, Biology, Medicine & Biotechnology, StemCell Scientists, Research Scholars & Clinicians can participate

5. You will get an automated reply on submission of your abstract online. If your abstract is approved by the initial scrutiny committee, you will be notified by 16th September via email. No changes in abstract will be accepted after submission.

6. On approval of your abstract you need to fill and send the Conflict of Interest, Copyright Form and Letter of Recommendation, which will be sent along with the notification of acceptance email. The forms should be sent byCourier / Registered Post to "NCRM NICHE 2011 - POSTER", Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine, C-16, Vijaya Health Centre premises, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600 026; Tel: 044-42321322.

7. Failure in receipt of the Conflict of Interest, Copyright Transfer form and Letter of Recommendation by 23 Sep, 2011 will result in cancellation of your poster and the submitted abstract. 

8. Once the abstract is approved by the initial scrutiny committee, you will be asked to send the electronic version of your actual poster (exactly the same which you intend to display on the day of the event in a PDF file not exceeding 3 MB by email to webmaster.ncrm@nichimail.jp on or before 23rd September 2011 

Instructions to be followed:

• The actual poster must display exactly the contents and images as the e-poster submitted to us. On the day of display of the posters if any discrepancies are found between the  
   PDF file submitted and the poster displayed, the poster will not be accepted for display
• Any form of plagiarism* and copyright violation is strictly prohibited
• Images from published articles or from the internet must be reproduced only with the written permission of the original author/copyright holder
• Privacy of patients or subjects used in your study must be strictly protected
• The Name of the Institutes of affiliation can be quoted below the title of the poster and names of Authors.  The Logo of the Institute of affiliation of the presenting author can be  
placed on the right upper corner of the poster. However there should not be any Logo/Pictures of Institutes, companies, products or authors elsewhere in the poster. Any form of
Surrogate advertisement in the poster will lead to disqualification.

*Plagiarism, is defined in dictionaries as "the wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions, and the representation of them as one's own original work (Random House Compact Unabridged Dictionary and the Oxford English dictionary)

8. To withdraw an abstract, send email to webmaster.ncrm@nichimail.jp

Instruction for Poster to be displayed during the event

1. Poster should contain: Abstract, Introduction, Method, Results, Conclusion, Reference, Figures and Graphs (if applicable) 

2. Poster size:44inch height and 22 inch width
    Font: Arial
    Font Size:  Title 38; Subtitles: 18; Content: 16.
    Leave 4” X 4 “space at left upper corner

3. On 15th October , 2011 the venue will be open by 0830 hrs and the posters should be put on the allotted space between 0830-0900 hrs. Push pins will be available at the venue.

4. The displayed poster will be available for viewing from 9.00am to 4.45pm and should be dismantled before 5.30pm.  Posters which are not removed by 5.30pm will be discarded.

Certificate for Poster Presentation will be awarded only to the presenting author. In the event of equal contribution from any other author, it is the duty of the presenting author to notify the name of that author to the Anniversary Organizing Committee by email to webmaster.ncrm@nichimail.jp on or before 23rd Sep 2011 following which certificates will be issued to both the authors. Maximum of two contributing authors are only eligible for receiving the poster presentation certificates.
