NCRM NICHE 2019 Active Knowledge Gaining (AKG) event FCQ Registration Portal

1. FCQ 2019 registration has to be done as a team (comprising of 2 members per team). Individual registration is not possible. Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral (PhD) students of Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Veterinary Science, Dentistry and Medicine registered in any institute which is recognized/accredited by quality assurance bodies, accreditation bodies and Ministries of Education included in the International Directory of Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), from any country that is a member state of the United Nations (UN) are eligible to participate in the Preliminary round I. Any number of teams (comprising of 2 members per team) can participate in the Preliminary round I from each Institute. Among the teams, select number of teams who are top scorers in the prelims from that Institute are only eligible to participate in the consecutive rounds. The finalists of previous years' (2006 to 20187) FCQs and the FCQ Elite Ultimates of FCQ 2017 & 2018 cannot participate, however their institute can be represented by other students. It is to be noted that both the participants of a team need to be affiliated/be a full-time bonafide student for the entire academic year of the same Institute at the time of the NCRM NICHE 2019 (14 ~ 16 October 2019) event.
2. It is mandatory that those Participants who are born between 1st of January 1987 and 31st of December 1999, both days inclusive are only eligible for participating in the FCQ 2019.
3. Personal Details such as full name, Date of Birth, Postal address, Email address and Phone numbers for both the participants should be entered during the registration process.
4. Institute Details such as Name, Postal address, Email address and Phone numbers of the Authority who is going to sign the Letter of Authorization form should be entered during the registration process.
(The email id of the signing Authority must be in the domain name of the institute)
5. Both the participants of a team should hold valid passports.
6. Upon successful registration, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the primary email ids of both the participants entered during the registration process. If an acknowledgement email is not received, kindly contact webmaster@ncrmniche.org
7. All communications/queries related to FCQ 2019 must be sent only by email to webmaster@ncrmniche.org .
8. Every email sent after the registration process should contain the FCQ provisional registration number without which the communication/query will not be entertained. If the FCQ provisional registration number is not displayed or any error is encountered, kindly contact webmaster@ncrmniche.org
9. The details entered during the registration process are considered final. This information entered will only be used to prepare the Visa invitation related documents (if any in case of selection of the participants to the on site rounds in Tokyo, Japan). In case of any discrepancies in the information provided, kindly contact webmaster@ncrmniche.org within 2 days of completion of the FCQ Online registration process failing which any change/correction in the details will not be permitted.

11. All formalities that might be required to be completed by the participants, whose details along with other necessary information will be sent from time to time only to the registered email ids of the participants. Failure to comply with any of the formalities might lead to disqualification of the team which is under the sole discretion of the NCRM NICHE 2019 organizing committee. In those circumstances, any benefits to be provided will remain cancelled and no compensation will be provided.
12. Please note that during the Online Registration process if you had used Back/Forward/Refresh button of your Browser or you have kept the browser window idle for a long time, an error page will be displayed and the registration process will be immediately terminated. Hence all the information should be kept ready before starting to fill the online registration form and the form has to be filled at once failing which the entire registration process will have to be started again.
- Prelims I – Online prelims. Participants should register as a team to participate in the prelims I. Further instructions on attending the prelims I will be provided during the registration process.
- Prelims II- Online prelims for participants selected from Prelims I
- Pre-Final Round- Live Event - On site: For Participants selected from Prelims II
- Final Round- Live Event - On site: For Participants selected from Pre-Final Round
The FCQ 2019 will have four rounds of quizzing.
Information on FCQ Elite Teams - Pre-Final and Final Rounds:
24 teams (each team with two members; totally 48 participants) will be selected* based on the performance in their Prelims II will be selected as FCQ Elite teams of the year 2019
FCQ Elite Ultimate – Top four teams (12 participants) (Teams ranked 1 to 4 in Prelims II) selected for the Onsite Pre-Final Round
FCQ Elite Superior – Teams ranked 5 - 12 in Prelims II (16 participants) selected for the Onsite Pre-Final Round
FCQ Elite Bright – Teams ranked 13- 24 in Prelims II (24 participants) selected for the Onsite Pre-Final Round

• All Students participating in the FCQ Prelims I and II but falling short of becoming FCQ Elites will have benefits in participating as a FCQ Non-elite delegate in the Onsite events of the NCRM NICHE 2019. For event Registration they can register themselves – Instructions will be provided in due course of time. Participation subject to availability of seats.
Fujio Cup Quiz (FCQ) Registration Deadline: 10th August, 2019 (1200 hrs (GMT))
i. Register Online before the 31st July 2019
ii. You will be given a Provisional Registration Number
iii. For getting the Confirmed Registration Number please complete the following:
a. Download the PDF file of Letter of Authorization. Afix your photograph, sign, fill it, get it signed by the official Signing Authority of your institution with the Institution seal and send it by email to webmaster@ncrmniche.org. Click here to download the Letter of Authorization Form
b. Download the following Ms-Excel Document contatining a Datasheet to be filled by your team. Fill it and send it by email to webmaster@ncrmniche.org. Click here to download the Excel Datasheet Template
c. Both the participants of a team should hold valid passports. Send the scanned copy of the passports of both the participants of your team by email to webmaster@ncrmniche.org. It should contain the pages of the passport which includes the personal details like name, date of birth, nationality , expiry date, etc. and the image of the passport holder with signature
The Letter of Authorization, filled Excel Datasheet and the scanned copy of the passports should be sent in a single email communication to webmaster@ncrmniche.org so as reach us on or before 31st July 2019. While sending the email, it is mandatory that your Provisional Registraion Number should be included in the subject of the email, file name of all the documents and in the body of the email. Only on receipt of this you will be eligible for the quiz competition.

Registration for Fujio Cup Quiz (FCQ) 2019 closed
AKG Events Participants selected for the Onsite Events (FCQ Elites and selected Oral Presenters) along with serving as an Event Delegate for the NCRM NICHE 2019 event on the 14th October 2019 will also be eligible for the AKG Delegates Exclusive Programme on the 15th & 16th October 2019 for visit to Premier Institutes in Japan in groups and to Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) along with an Interactive Session with Engineering Students working on Healthcare Applications - NCRM NICHE Inter-Disciplinary Conclave (IDC).
A valid Passport and other relevant documents are essential for delegates/selected participants for travel to Japan for the pre-final and final rounds of the Fujio Cup Quiz (FCQ)/Oral Presentation/Event Participation in NCRM NICHE 2019. For further information on such requirements, the delegates can contact/refer either the website or the concerned source of information of the Embassy/Mission of Japan in their local territory.
Food:
Japanese style cuisine will be the predominant type of food available in Japan. Hence, people who have specific food preferences, some effort and pre-planning regarding food can be very rewarding. For further information on such requirements, the delegates can contact/refer either the relevant websites or the concerned source of information. The NCRM NICHE 2019 Organizing Committee will not be responsible for arranging food according to specific food preferences of the delegates.
Accomodation:
There will be official hotel(s) chosen by the NCRM NICHE 2019 organizing committee. For smooth conduct of the event and for convenience of everybody with reference to logistics and other relevant issues all the FCQ Elites must stay/book only in this hotel(s) during the days of the event (14 ~16 October 2019). For FCQ Elites Ultimate and Superior, accommodation will be booked in these hotel(s) by the NCRM NICHE 2019 Organizing Committee. For the FCQ Elite chosen under the Bright category, rooms will be blocked for three nights (14th October (1500 Hrs Japan time for check-in) until the 16th October (1000 Hrs Japan time check out) and the team member names will be given to the hotel reservation desk. The FCQ Elite Bright participants should book their rooms by contacting the hotel(s) directly.
